Selling solves problems and fulfills needs.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>What you\u2019re <a href=\"\/blog\/selling-telling-really-listening\/\">selling<\/a> will either relieve pain or provide pleasure.\u00a0 Depending on what you sell, customers will be better able to solve problems, make more money, serve other betters, enhance their self-esteem, improve their knowledge, or fulfill a heart\u2019s desire.\u00a0 When you do your job, you help people get what they want out of life.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>2. Only your efforts and creativity limit your potential.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Selling is the classic example of pay for performance.\u00a0 This explains why so many high-energy, focused people are attracted to sales.\u00a0 Their level of achievement and income has no ceiling.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>3. Selling may be the purest form of empowerment.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>When you sell, you must solve problems on the spot.\u00a0 You are <a href=\"\/blog\/how-to-win-your-day-with-salesaccountability\/\">accountable<\/a> for solving a customer\u2019s problem then and there.\u00a0 While everyone else in your company may be debating the pros and cons of empowerment, you are living it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>5. Selling is a psychological high.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Stand outside any factory and study the faces of the workers leaving their shift.\u00a0 Are you witnessing the \u201cjoy of victory\u201d or the \u201cagony of defeat\u201d?\u00a0 Now, look at any salesperson who has just closed an important deal, landed a new customer, or solved a current customer\u2019s problem.\u00a0 You\u2019re watching a winner.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>6.
